The Concept
In teams of 3, you will need to find checkpoints on your route as quickly as possible.
Note: these are not physical checkpoints, but virtual ones! To locate them, you'll be guided by a mobile app and your smartphone’s GPS. A map, your position, and clues will assist you in your search.
In addition to the athletic challenge, some checkpoints will have cultural questions. Answer correctly, and you'll earn a few seconds off your final time!
Make sure to download the Bougéo app for free before the event. It is available on Google Play and the App Store!
The start and finish line will be at the Cloister of the University of Toulouse Capitole (or in the main hall if the weather is bad)
A pre-race briefing will be held for all teams between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
The Races
Two race formats are available:
Long race: ~12 km
Short race: ~6 km
The race area will be roughly within the city center of Toulouse … but that’s all we’re telling you — you’ll discover the map on the day of the race!
Both races take place in teams of three. If you're alone or your team isn't complete, we'll pair you with other students before the race.
The event will last about 2 hours, depending on your route and pace.
Time limits:
- Long race: 1 hour and 30 minutes max—otherwise, you’ll be disqualified.
- Short race: 1 hour max.
The top 3 teams in each race will win prizes, including Decathlon gift cards and match tickets!
After your race, enjoy a social moment and a free snack!
What to bring?
Wear sportswear, but note that there will be no changing rooms on-site. Restrooms will be available, and you can leave your belongings at the start/finish line.
This event is co-organized by the sports departments of University of Toulouse Capitole, University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès, University of Toulouse, and the Toulouse Community of Universities and Institutions.
